Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Construction or Director of Construction, the Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for the managerial and administrative aspects of planning, organizing, directing, and executing new construction projects. This role involves identifying and tracking budget changes, monitoring project progress, and overseeing the implementation of overall design plans. The CPM will provide recommendations for recovery schedules, value engineering of design elements, and assess project risks while collaborating with team members to enhance safety measures.

In addition, the Construction Project Manager will interact with the Authority’s consultants, engineers, parking and retail vendors, and various regulatory agencies, including the FAA, to effectively represent the Authority’s interests. The CPM will maintain confidentiality during contract negotiations and procurement activities. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements while coordinating construction activities across multiple stakeholders and managing public impact.

The Maintenance Duty Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance Operations; this position ensures optimal maintenance and upkeep of airport facilities, systems, and equipment in adherence to industry benchmarks. The primary focus is on meeting and surpassing customer expectations regarding safety, security, aesthetics, convenience, reliability, and value. This encompasses overseeing terminal buildings, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA) owned structures, roadways, airfield pavements, parking facilities, and grounds. The Maintenance Duty Manager (MDM) spearheads Maintenance Department activities and personnel during non-regular hours, weekends, and holidays. This position involves being the primary point of contact for emergency situations and managing maintenance contracts while supporting various administrative and technical functions.

This is an entry level electrical position at Tampa International Airport. Electrician I will be expected to perform basic electrical task and assist higher level electricians with electrical maintenance, repairs and installation to the building power system, building lighting system, exterior lighting system, illuminated signage, airfield lighting systems and emergency power systems. This position will require a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products, National Electrical Code, blueprints and electrical schematics. Communication skills both verbal and in writing will be required to ensure customer satisfaction. This position could be required to work shift work, weekends and holidays. Additionally, this position must be able to work safely at varying heights, operate lifts and lift up to 40 pounds.

Under the general direction of a Maintenance Supervisor, the Electronics Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diverse electronic equipment used in systems such as voice and data communications, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and other critical technologies. This role involves performing modifications, calibrations, and testing at the component level, as well as conducting interdepartmental training and operator-level troubleshooting for life safety and security systems. The technician will carry out regular preventative maintenance, monitor system operations for compliance with regulatory standards, and design and assemble circuits and devices as needed. Additionally, the position requires collecting and logging data, preparing reports using work order management software, and coordinating work with authorized vendors to ensure project specifications are met. The technician will also respond to emergency and non-emergency system failures, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure regular communication with supervisors and management.

The General Aviation Operations Manager assumes a leadership role encompassing administrative, supervisory, and technical functions related to regulatory compliance within the General Aviation (GA) department. In addition to ensuring adherence to regulations, this role actively participates in incident/accident investigations, conducts specialized inquiries, and meticulously reviews proposed airport grant-in-aid initiatives to safeguard operational safety. The role's proactive engagement extends to fostering effective communication and cooperation among airport tenants, external governmental entities, Authority leadership, and departmental teams, particularly concerning airfield construction and maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction, with preferred experience in skilled trades across various disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and facilities. Additionally, the candidate should have experience leading the daily activities of a workgroup.
