Support flights from Tampa to Cuba

Thank you for supporting our efforts to gain nonstop commercial flights to Cuba. The petition is now closed. We will keep you updated on the latest news regarding this issue.

Yes! I support nonstop service on JetBlue and Southwest from Tampa International Airport to Havana, Cuba.  By filling out and submitting the form below, I am urging the U.S. Department of Transportation to approve these flights.

Tampa Bay is home to the country’s third largest Cuban-American population, with historical ties that go back more than a century. Since 2011, that community and the community at large has supported charter service to Havana, Holguin and Santa Clara. The flights launched in 2011 with twice weekly service. Today, the airport offers up to nine flights a week. In 2015, more than 73,000 passengers took advantage of the service, a 65% percent increase compared to 2012, which was the first full year of operation. The success of these flights makes Tampa is the nation’s second largest gateway to Cuba.

This community, which has already supported the current air service to the Cuba, should be granted regularly scheduled commercial service.
